Passive Preamps

About Passive Preamplifiers: |
Installing
an active preamplifier
between a CD/DVD player and a power amplifier is not always the right
thing
to do. If your power amplifier has good input sensitivity and plenty of
gain, an active preamplifier can act as unneeded, redundant
amplification
circuitry, degrading the overall system sound quality. It follows that
removing unnecessary circuitry from your signal path can improve sound
quality. A passive preamp is often all that is needed between a signal
source and a power amplifier. |
The
precision stepped attenuators
used in Goldpoint passive preamps are more transparent sounding than
the
typical potentiometers found in other preamps - active or passive. If
you
are serious about great sound quality and already have adequate signal
amplitude, enjoy a passive preamp in your system, such as any superior
sounding
